Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm Taku, an indie maker from Japan. I built Memento Week as my own take on Tim Urban's famous essay "Your Life in Weeks" (Wait But Why, 2014). His grid completely changed how I think about time — every single week of an 80-year life laid out as one cell, the past behind you, the future in front.
I wanted a personal, daily-use version of that grid, so I built one with three things added:
▸ Pixel-art / 8-bit aesthetic (inspired by old-school RPGs)
▸ Pin custom events on the calendar (birthdays, milestones, deaths)
▸ Quest list — things you want to do before you die
▸ Real-time countdown to your last week
▸ Works offline, optional cloud sync, 5 languages
Huge credit also to Bryan Braun's interactive version (yourlifeinweeks.com) — his implementation taught me a lot about how to make the grid feel alive.
It's free, no signup needed. Stack: Next.js + Cloudflare Workers + Supabase, hosted globally.
Would love to hear what you'd add. Memento mori, friends ⌛
