I started MBReviews in 2015 and have tested hundreds of routers, access points and other networking products over the years. But most of that data ended up trapped inside individual reviews, tables and static graphs. After the site lost most of its search traffic, publishing more conventional reviews started to make less and less sense, so I began converting the old measurements into structured data and built the Test Lab around them. There are 20 fully migrated devices in the Lab at the moment, so this is still only a small part of the historical archive. The goal is to make the measurements genuinely comparable and explorable instead of showing a single benchmark graph in isolation. The Lab currently covers single-client throughput and signal strength, long-term stability, MLO and multi-client testing. Different historical test protocols are kept separate where the methodology changed. This is also an experiment for me. I want to find out whether an old review site can become useful again by turning its accumulated testing data into tools rather than simply publishing more articles. Feedback on the interface, comparisons and anything that is confusing is very welcome.
