I built StyleGuideChecker because I kept seeing the same problem in technical writing: inconsistency. Even with great writers, style guidelines are hard to follow manually, and most style-linting tools are either too technical or too complex for everyday use. I wanted something simple, fast, and based on real industry guides like Google, Microsoft, and Red Hat. The goal was to help writers get real-time style feedback and even auto-fix issues as they write — reducing review time and improving clarity. The process evolved from a basic markdown linter to a more polished tool after testing, refining noisy rules, and improving the UI so the experience feels smooth and helpful. That’s how StyleGuideChecker was born: a lightweight tool to make consistent, high-quality writing easier for everyone.
