Marginplace is a private writing space built around questions, reflection, and sharing. Start with a question, write your thoughts privately, then turn them into longer pieces of writing you can connect and reference. Share individual pieces with friends or groups when you want another perspective, and discuss them without giving up the privacy of your other writing.

Hi everyone, I'm Tony, the person behind Marginplace.
I created Marginplace because I kept running into the same problem with my writing.
I’ve spent a lot of time these last few years thinking and writing about introspective questions primarily around ideas like identity, morality, and judgment. I’d usually put those thoughts in my journal or Obsidian, but eventually I’d want to share something with a friend and hear what they thought.
Obsidian gave me the interconnected, private writing environment I really liked, while tools like Google Docs made sharing easy. I wanted something that combined the two while keeping writing at the center, rather than turning it into another social feed to doomscroll. And this is when Marginplace was born!
You can start with a question, answer it privately, turn your thoughts into longer writing, connect your writing together, and share individual pieces with friends or groups when you want to think about something together.
I’d love to hear some feedback and any potential ideas that could make this something you'd actually come back to.
