Make Look Scanned is a free, privacy-focused browser tool for turning digital PDFs into realistic scanned-looking documents with adjustable rotation, paper tone, blur, grain, shadows, grayscale, and image-based export.

Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built Make Look Scanned to solve a simple problem: sometimes a clean digital PDF needs to look like it was printed and scanned, but using a real printer and scanner is slow and inconvenient.
With Make Look Scanned, you can upload a PDF, adjust effects such as rotation, paper tone, blur, grain, shadows, grayscale, DPI, and image quality, then export a realistic scanned-looking PDF.
Everything is processed locally in your browser, so your files do not need to be uploaded to a server.
It is useful for contracts, forms, signed documents, administrative paperwork, and multi-page PDFs.
I would love your feedback on:
* How realistic the results look
* Which controls are most useful
* What features or presets should be added next
Thanks for checking it out!
Does the grain and paper tone reset per page or stay consistent across the whole document when you batch a multi-page PDF?
@tahirnurtawpz2 Thanks for asking! The grain resets per page, so each page gets a unique noise pattern, while the paper tone stays consistent across the whole document. Using the same file or seed and settings will reproduce the same result.
the paper grain slider is surprisingly convincing, mine actually fooled my coworker into thinking i dug up an old printout
@resulolys Haha, that’s exactly what I was hoping for 😄 Thanks for trying it and sharing this — glad the paper grain was convincing enough to fool your coworker!
