Exchange, Microsoft 365 and IMAP in one window, with every message archived on your own disk. Import the PST and OST files nothing else opens, search 280,000 messages in milliseconds, flag what needs an answer. One-time purchase, no subscription, no server of ours in the middle.
I built MailCode because my mailbox outgrew my mail app. An Exchange quota that kept filling, a stack of PST exports nothing on my Mac would open, and the standard advice being "delete some mail." I wanted the opposite keep all of it, locally, and find any of it instantly.
Three things it does differently:
• Every message is archived on your own disk. There's no service of mine in the middle. When the server quota fills, you move mail to local or external storage — and it fetches the attachment bytes before anything is removed.
• It opens PST, OST, .eml, .msg and maildir, folder tree intact, indexed on the way in.
• Search is a query language: f: s: b: to: cc: in: df:/dt: label: flag:, with AND/OR. Plain questions work too, answered locally with no model involved.
Tested against my own archive rather than a demo one: 280,901 messages, 31 GB, 1.2 million attachments — median search 5 ms.
AI is there for compose, summarise and translate, but on your own API key. I built a hosted relay and then cut it: the whole pitch is that your mail doesn't route through my servers, and an AI relay would have broken that exactly where the content is most sensitive.
Free 14-day trial, then a one-time purchase. No subscription. macOS 12+ on Apple silicon; Windows is built and waiting on installer code signing.
