Hi Product Hunt, I'm Jay. I built Macropod because AutoHotKey couldn't properly handle my HOTAS and I got tired of bridging it through JoyToKey and shell scripts to make a single macro span keyboard, mouse, and stick.
Features that matter to me, day to day:
- vJoy integration: games see your macros as a real joystick (vJoy is free, separate install)
- HidHide integration: cloak your physical stick from a specific game when you want the macro to fully drive input (HidHide is also free, separate install)
- Profile auto-switch by foreground game
- HID Shift Translator for VKB-style modifier states

If you run a HOTAS or fly sims: reply with the macro you've never been able to set up cleanly. A DCS cold-start sequence, a Star Citizen scan/quantum chain, an Elite mining loop, whatever's been annoying you for years. I'll tell you exactly how I'd build it in Macropod, or say straight up if it can't do it yet, and then go add it.
