One evening I noticed a local web server running on my Mac. I had not started it, and I could not immediately say which tool had. That small surprise turned into a bigger question: what else is running here that I never agreed to? I went looking for something that would build an honest inventory. What I found was mostly expensive apps that install more junk on the machine, hide what they are doing, and never tell you what they are about to delete. So I built this instead.
