Wasted FM turns YouTube into a GTA-style car radio for macOS. 26 station dials on a filmstrip HUD. Drop any YouTube video, playlist or podcast into a slot; nest slots into folders. Then press ⌥R from any app — a radial dial floats over your screen, so you change station without leaving what you are doing. per-station resume, and "wheels": entire 26-slot layouts you hot-swap with ⌘1-9 or send to a friend as a file. No API key, no account, no downloads, no telemetry.

Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built this because of a habit I couldn't fix: a browser window with six
YouTube tabs open, one of them playing music, and me hunting for whichever
one it was every time a track turned into an ad or an hour-long video essay.
What I actually wanted was the GTA car radio. You don't browse a car radio.
You flick a dial, half-listening, eyes still on the road.
Version one was a window with a grid of stations, and it was wrong —
because it was still a window I had to switch to. The whole thing clicked
when I moved the dial to a global hotkey: press ⌥R and the wheel floats
over whatever you're doing, on any Space, without stealing focus. Your
editor never loses the cursor.
Free, sandboxed, no account, no API key, no telemetry. Nothing to
configure — five stations are already loaded on first launch.
Would genuinely like to know what you'd put in slot 1, and your top 5.
