Hi Product Hunt! I'm the maker of M.I.O., a free Windows 11 app that brings Codex, Claude Code, Gemini and Grok into one Talk Room.
The idea is simple: give different AI perspectives a place in the same conversation, with you choosing who takes part. M.I.O. is for exploring ideas, developing a piece of writing, planning a project, or getting another perspective on a problem.
For example, you could discuss a small app idea with Codex, ask Claude Code to question the proposal, and then ask Gemini for an alternative. You decide which participants to involve and when to continue. This is an example of how you might use a Room, rather than a fixed workflow you have to follow.
There are two ways to work together:
• Direct mode: choose the recipients for each message. Ask one participant a focused question or select several for different perspectives. Adding an AI to a Room does not automatically send it every new message.
• Conductor mode: let Codex coordinate one round with up to three selected workers and bring their contributions together. Each request is a bounded round, so you can review the result and decide what to ask next.
Rooms help keep separate interests and projects organized. You can give participants their own names, icons and guidance, switch between English and Japanese, and adjust fonts, colors and artwork to make the space comfortable to use. Model choices depend on the provider and your account's available access.
Codex can also generate images that appear in the conversation and can be saved. If a discussion turns into practical work, you can explicitly select a local folder for that Room and grant Codex supported read or read/write access. It starts in Chat only mode, and its file and development operations are limited to the supported scope. Capabilities differ by connection: Claude Code and Gemini handle conversation through M.I.O.; Grok can additionally review tracked Git changes in an optional read-only mode.
Room history and settings stay on your PC. You can back up all Rooms as JSON to a directory you choose. Restoring a reviewed backup replaces the Room list and conversation history; it does not recreate your entire setup, such as participant profiles, appearance, provider sign-ins or folder permissions.
Getting started takes two parts. Install the signed M.I.O. app from Microsoft Store on 64-bit Windows 11, then separately install and sign in to the provider CLI you want to use. The supported connections are Codex, Claude Code, Gemini Antigravity CLI and Grok CLI. You can start with just one. Restart M.I.O., add that participant to a Room, select it as a recipient, and send your first message. The user guide walks through setup and common connection issues.
M.I.O. itself is free. Your AI accounts are your own, and provider subscription requirements, usage limits, charges and data policies still apply. Local conversation storage does not mean the models run offline: AI requests go through the connected providers.
The gallery uses the current interface with fictional conversations labeled UI DEMO, so you can see the layout and controls. Those examples are not actual provider answers.
