Hey PH! I'm Mert, and tomorrow I'm launching Luni here: an app that writes a brand new, personalized bedtime story for your child every night. Not something picked from a library, but built from their actual name, personality, hobbies, siblings, pet, and whatever's on their mind that day. The idea came from a very specific thing: kids ask for the same "dark" story every night, but generic books never really seem to help. So I built something that gently works a child's real fears into their own story, in a way that reassures them instead of ignoring it or making it scarier. Before I launch tomorrow, I'd genuinely love to hear from parents here: what's the one bedtime fear or worry your kid has that no generic story has ever really addressed? Curious if what we built actually maps to real experiences, or if I'm missing something.
Hey everyone! 👋
I built Luni because I wanted my own family's nighttime worries to turn into something calming instead of something scary. Kids don't just want a bedtime story, they want to feel safe with whatever they have been carrying around all day.
Luni writes a personalized story every night starring your child, built from their name, age, hobbies, siblings, pets and what is actually on their mind (a new sibling, the dark, starting school). When you tell Luni about a fear, it never puts that fear into the story or makes it scarier. Instead the story is shaped to reassure and settle them, then it winds down into a nightly sleep ritual with soothing narrator voices, lullabies and a 4-7-8 breathing exercise.
Would love to hear what you think, and happy to answer any questions about how it works under the hood!
