I built Lumin because I had 34 browser tabs open, three different task apps running, and still spent the first hour of my morning deciding what to do. I kept building better systems — Notion boards, Todoist projects, colour-coded priorities. Each one worked for a week, then collapsed under the weight of maintaining it. The system became the work. The problem isn't that people don't know how to prioritise. It's that when you're already overwhelmed, the act of organising is one more thing that requires energy you don't have. So I stripped everything away, without categories, or tags, or effort levels. You type what's on your mind — raw, unfiltered, everything — and the AI reads it and tells you what's urgent, what's important, and what can wait. In seconds. The hardest part of building Lumin wasn't the AI. It was resisting the urge to add more features. Every productivity app eventually becomes Notion. I kept asking: what's the minimum that removes the paralysis? That's what shipped. I'm a non-technical solo founder — I built the entire thing using Claude Code and Vercel. Every bug, every fix, every feature. It taught me that the real constraint isn't code, it's clarity about what you're actually building.
