Lullula is the listening layer for the web. Press Play on articles, Google Docs, PDFs or DRM-free EPUBs. Follow sentence highlighting, replay a line, and resume once you sign in. Free built-in voices; 600+ neural voices in 80+ languages.

Hi Product Hunt — I'm Jinqiang. There are two of us building Lullula.
We started with a simple problem: more articles, papers and docs we wanted to read than time we wanted to spend looking at a screen. Turning text into speech was only part of it. When you listen, you also need to find your place, replay a sentence you missed, and come back later without starting over.
Lullula is a desktop browser extension for that workflow. Install it, open an article and press Play. Each sentence lights up as it's spoken, and you can jump back or forward a sentence. Once you sign in to a free account, it saves your place on each page, including when you return on another computer.
It also reads Google Docs, text-based and scanned PDFs, and DRM-free EPUBs. Google Docs uses a caption bar; PDFs and EPUBs have their own readers. Scanned pages are recognized in your browser first, with server recognition as a fallback. There's also Listen later: save a page with a free account and play it later in the web app.
Already paying for a voice provider? You can add your own ElevenLabs, OpenAI, Azure Speech, Google Cloud Text-to-Speech, Amazon Polly or Alibaba Cloud Qwen-TTS key. Those voices use the same player. The key stays in this browser and is never sent to Lullula; spoken text goes directly to your provider, which bills you. These voices don't use your Lullula speech allowance. AI summaries still use our servers and allowance.
Free means unlimited listening with your browser's built-in voices, without an account. Before sign-in, the premium trial is about 500 words, plus 10 AI summaries from a separate allowance. A free account adds about 2,000 premium words each month, and 10 AI summaries. Pro is $7.99/month or $59.99/year, with 200,000 premium words a month on either plan.
A few limits upfront: desktop Chrome, Edge and Firefox; mobile apps are coming soon. No Kindle or other DRM-protected books. Extraction can miss content, and local EPUBs need Chrome or Edge with file access enabled.
Try one page you already wanted to read. What interrupted the listen — something it missed, something it shouldn't have read, or a confusing control? If the page is public, share the URL; otherwise describe what happened. We'd love that feedback.
