I started Lucide Pixel while experimenting with custom pixel icons for one of my projects. Creating a consistent icon set manually turned out to be much harder than expected, so I started exploring whether Lucide’s existing icon language could be transformed into a coherent pixel-style system instead. What began as a small SVG experiment grew into a full fork with automated pixelization, preserved metadata, and framework packages. The first focus is React, with more packages planned afterward.
