LogWhisperer is a local-first, LLM-powered log analysis tool for Linux. It summarizes journal, file, and Docker logs using Ollama with zero external API calls. Ideal for debugging secure systems, CI pipelines, and air-gapped infrastructure.

I built LogWhisperer because I needed a way to understand system logs faster, without compromising security. Most tools either ship logs to the cloud or require complex setups—so I built a local-first, LLM-powered alternative that runs entirely on your machine. It uses Ollama to load a local model like Mistral or Phi and generate summaries, root cause insights, and recommendations from logs pulled via journalctl, file, or Docker. Nothing is sent to a third party—it's 100% offline after install, which makes it perfect for secure or air-gapped environments. I see this being useful for DevOps engineers, SREs, and sysadmins who want a second set of (AI) eyes on production logs without introducing risk. Let me know if you have any questions or ideas. I'm here and would love your feedback!
