A branded QR + NFC review kit for local businesses. Every customer taps once at the counter and sees two options side by side: leave a public Google review or send private feedback. Both always shown. No review gating (which breaks Google's policy and is illegal in Australia). Reviews, private feedback, and scans in one dashboard. Transparent pricing at $49/month, no demo call, cancel anytime. Built for a single counter, not a 40-location chain.

Hi Product Hunt 👋
I built LocalReviewDesk after watching local business owners get pitched $300/mo "reputation platforms" built for 40-location chains — AI sentiment dashboards, social listening, annual contracts, a sales call — when all they needed was more Google reviews and a heads-up when someone's unhappy.
So this is the boring, honest version. A customer taps a QR or NFC card at the counter and sees two buttons, side by side: leave a public Google review, or send you private feedback. Every customer sees both — there's no gating, no "how do you feel first?" filter. That's a deliberate design choice: review gating breaks Google's policy and is outright illegal in Australia (ACCC) and targeted by the US FTC. You literally can't gate with this, which is the point.
What you get:
• One-tap branded review page (QR + NFC cards included)
• Private feedback inbox so problems reach you, not the internet
• Reviews, scans, and feedback in one dashboard
• Transparent pricing: $20/mo first location, +$20/mo each extra. No demo, cancel anytime.
Not for multi-location enterprises — genuinely, if that's you, Birdeye/Podium fit better. This is for the single counter that just wants the reviews flowing.
Happy to answer anything — especially skeptical questions about the compliance side.
That's the part I care most about getting right.
Curious how the QR code handles customers who dont have Google signed in on their phone, do they just bounce or is there a fallback to the private feedback option?
@zekiye6yhm It will prompt the user to sign in, which is the goal to get more happy customer to leave a google review! Do you suggest we do a fallback to the private channel instead? Because having a good review publicly is most important from a business POV
the two-option side-by-side layout is genuinely clever—most review tools hide the private route behind a feedback wall, so forcing both visible at the tap feels like a real opinion on what customers actually want in that moment.
@faruk1723009 Exactly. The goal is to give customers a clear choice without hiding or filtering either option. Happy customers can quickly leave a Google review, while customers with concerns can contact the business directly so the issue can be addressed. This reduces friction for public reviews while keeping a direct feedback channel open.
Finally tried this on my cafe counter and the side-by-side Google and private feedback layout is genuinely thoughtful. Wish more tools handled the Australia policy thing without making you sit through a sales call first.
@alal3kg Yes! The thing is people want quick results where they just get quick google reviews without knowing they are destroying their own business internally, but the overcomplicated part is unhappy customer just wants a direct channel to vent their frustration, most of them never taught of leaving a bad review. If one does, nothing could have stop them anyways!
