Hello ProductHunters! Designing multilingual apps was not easy. Often design issues for some languages are spotted in the later, coding stage, and hence paid with the wasted time and excessive back and forth communication between designers and developers. We experienced that multiple times. We’re excited to launch Localizely plugin for Figma, which provides designers, translators, developers, and the entire product team with a solution to spot such design issues early, prevent them and save your time and effort. With Localizely plugin, your team can: πŸ–Œ Collaborate on translations within a single tool 🌐 Translate your product with the full context including app screenshots πŸ“š Ensure consistency by using Translation Memory and Glossary for translators πŸ” Preview design in different languages before implementing πŸ§‘β€πŸ’» Automatically sync your codebase with the latest translations Localizely is on a mission to streamline translation management for multilingual apps, so follow us for upcoming updates and news πŸš€ Our team will be here all day to read your comments and answer questions, so please share your feedback and ask us anything!

Hey, I think this would be useful, but what functionality does this offer vs simple using Google translate or just using AI translations? It might take more time, but it doesn't seem like it takes much more time for the cost (which is free or costs far less). Congrats on your launch!

Hi @richard_gao2 With Localizely plugin, your team can: πŸ–Œ Collaborate on translations within a single tool (translators do not work with JSON, XML or other formats) 🌐 Translate your product with the full context including app screenshots (available in Localizely editor) πŸ“š Ensure consistency by using Translation Memory and Glossary for translators πŸ” Preview design in different languages before implementing πŸ§‘β€πŸ’» Automatically sync your codebase with the latest translations This setup also allows you to translate with Google Translate o Amazon Translate, without manually extracting texts from JSON/XML/etc file formats. However, using machine translation is not recommended without doing proofreading, except if you work on a prototype/PoC type of a project.
