Last night I updated my website without sitting down at a computer. From my phone I told ChatGPT: "update this section on my site and ship it." It asked which of my computers to use, I tapped my home PC, and 13 minutes later the page was live. The video shows the idea in 30 seconds; the real recording of that run, answers unedited, is on localcmd.app.

Why I built it: cloud AI is smart but homeless. Your code, your git keys, your logged-in browser and that slow office server all live on your own machines. The phone has none of it, so the AI ends up telling you what to type instead of doing the job.

Local Commander is just the tunnel. Bring any AI: ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Claude Code, or your own model through any MCP client. One small agent per computer (Windows, macOS, Linux), approved in your browser with full access or only the folders you pick. The agent dials out, so nothing on your machine listens.
