LiveLens started from one simple frustration: mobile streamers deserve the same creative freedom that PC streamers have with tools like OBS. Most mobile streaming apps are filled with limitations — watermarks, locked features, forced accounts, low customization, and paywalls. I wanted to build something different: a true mobile streaming studio without compromises. When I began this project, I had almost no knowledge about rendering pipelines, OpenGL, MediaCodec, or how professional streaming systems actually worked. The project became overwhelming, and I eventually burned out and stopped working on it for nearly 6 months. But I came back with a different mindset. Instead of trying to build everything at once, I focused on learning piece by piece — OpenGL rendering, encoders, audio processing, scene systems, overlays, VTuber support, and real-time streaming architecture. Slowly, LiveLens started becoming real. Today, LiveLens is built to push Android streaming as far as modern phones can handle: • Multi-scene streaming • RTMP support • Advanced audio controls • VTuber integration • Overlays & alerts • 4K / H.265 streaming • Local recording • No watermarks • No forced login I work on LiveLens after my full-time job because I genuinely believe mobile creators deserve better tools.
