LitFigure: Draft scientific figures and refine them in plain language

Hi everyone — Ryan from the LitFigure team here. A researcher can explain a biological process clearly and still spend a long time turning it into a usable figure. Even small feedback, like changing an arrow, can interrupt that work. We built LitFigure to make it easier to get a first visual draft and describe the next revision. The demo uses a saved CAR-T workflow example. The request changes the first thick black arrow to red, and we show the original and revised versions together. This makes the intended change visible and gives you a way to review the rest of the figure before accepting it. That comparison matters. A requested edit does not establish that every label or relationship is scientifically correct, or that unrelated details stayed unchanged. Please inspect the whole output. The video presents saved model examples edited for clarity; it is not a real-time speed benchmark. Export formats and editability also vary by document type. The problem we are working on is the gap between a scientific explanation and an editable visual draft. Which part takes you longest today: getting the first layout, checking the biology, or handling revisions?
