I’m Sami, an electronics engineer with a PhD in artificial intelligence and the person behind LinguaPilot AI.
I started building LinguaPilot after noticing two recurring problems: having to interrupt my work to copy text into a browser, and receiving polished AI-generated text without understanding how to improve my own writing.
LinguaPilot takes a different approach: you write the text yourself first. Then, from any Windows application, you select it and press a global shortcut. The app provides a corrected version, an improved version, and explanations in the language you understand best. This is especially useful when writing in a language that is not your first.
With version 2.6, LinguaPilot includes:
• Corrected and improved versions generated together
• Explanations in the user’s preferred language
• Multiple cloud AI providers, including OpenAI and Gemini, plus local Ollama support
• Automatic detection of installed Ollama models
• Optional local history with one-click deletion
• Custom writing actions
LinguaPilot has evolved significantly through user feedback. That process helped me see the difference between my initial vision and what users actually need, and it continues to shape the product today.
