Hi Product Hunt! 👋
I'm Nikolay, a solo developer. I built Lingua because I moved to an English-speaking country and needed to hold real conversations — at the doctor, at the bank, on the phone — not just translate phrases. Every app I tried made me pass the phone back and forth and wait.
Lingua just listens and interprets both ways in real time, hands-free: you speak your language, the other person hears theirs about 2 seconds later. Under the hood it streams audio to realtime speech-to-speech neural networks over WebSockets.
Along the way it grew into more:
• A messenger with live-translated voice & video calls — each side hears their own language
• An AI memory that remembers anything you tell it
• A discreet voice prompter for interviews and meetings
• A fully offline on-device mode for flights and roaming
It's free to start. I'd love your feedback — especially which language pairs you'd want next. I'll be here all day answering questions!

The two-second voice translation feels genuinely snappy, not laggy like other apps I've tried. The AI memory part is a nice touch too — finally something that actually remembers context between sessions.

@kormuk68707 Thank you, that means a lot 🙏 The low latency was the hardest part — it streams audio continuously instead of waiting for full sentences, so it feels closer to a real interpreter. And glad you noticed the memory! It started as a small feature and quickly became the thing I use most. Which language pair do you use it for?

The two-second translation delay feels almost natural in conversation, which I did not expect. Tried it Spanish to Japanese with a friend and it just worked without me thinking about it.

@dneduh0 Spanish to Japanese is a great test — thank you for actually trying it with a friend! 🙌 That "without thinking about it" moment is exactly what I was chasing, so this genuinely made my day. If you run into any pair that feels off, let me know and I'll dig into it
