I have has been using Like I'm 5 for a few weeks (before even launch) :), and it finally made startup jargon feel approachable. Instead of drowning in buzzwords, she gets plain-English explanations that stick .. like a patient mentor sketching ideas on a napkin.
The Learning Worlds and short lessons helped her follow real conversations without constantly googling terms. She especially likes how it meets beginners where they are, without talking down to them. For anyone new to startups or switching careers, she would genuinely recommend it.
Happy Guru Purnima 🙏,
Today is for teachers - the people who make hard things feel possible. That idea is why I built Like I'm 5.
While working full-time, I kept hearing startup and finance words in meetings and online - and didn’t always fully get them. I wished someone would explain them calmly, like a patient teacher.
So I built a simple place to learn:
• Ask any term
• Get a plain-language lesson
• Build vocabulary you’ll actually hear at work or as a founder
Like I'm 5 is for beginners and working professionals who want clarity without jargon.

On this Guru Purnima, I’d love your feedback as fellow learners and teachers:
What felt confusing?
Which term should we explain next?
Thank you for checking it out 🙏

Hey Hunters, one thing we built into Like I'm 5™ that I'm weirdly proud of: Lens. (People call it Personas)
Not marketing personas. Actual learning ones.
You pick who you are in the room - beginner, entrepreneur, investor, MBA-brain, or straight-up "explain it like I'm five" - and the same startup / finance / investing idea gets rewritten for that altitude.
Same concept. Different clarity. So you're not pretending you already know… and you're not drowning in jargon either.
If you've ever sat in a meeting translating every third word in your head, this is for you.
We graduated from .in to .ai 🚀
Same brain-friendly explanations. Same “wait… I finally get it” feeling.
