Hi Product Hunt š Iām Jamie, an independent developer building Lifeweft on my own from New Zealand.
Lifeweft started with a personal wake-up call.
After blood tests showed I was prediabetic and had high cholesterol, I started paying closer attention to my health. I looked at meal tracking, fitness apps and ways to keep myself accountable. But along the way, I realised I wanted something broader ā a simple place to capture what was happening in my life, what needed doing, and what was coming up.
I didn't want another feed, another account to manage, or another monthly subscription. I wanted something quiet, personal and private.
So I started building Lifeweft.
It's been a project I've worked on in the background, largely for myself. I've kept refining it, adding things I wanted to use and trying to make it feel less like another productivity app and more like a natural place to keep track of everyday life.
I've deliberately kept privacy at the centre of it. There's no account to create, no ads and no tracking. Your data syncs through your own iCloud. It's an app I wanted to trust with my own life.
Now, with version 2.8, I feel like Lifeweft is ready to share.
The biggest addition is voice notes. You can speak a thought on your iPhone or Apple Watch and turn it into a note, actions or a shopping list. Speech recognition runs on your device, and you review everything before it's saved.
Version 2.8 also adds optional Weather and Health cards to Today, flights and stays in Plans, Life Areas for organising entries, refined colours across all ten themes, and a smoother writing experience.
There's also a Mac app, giving you a bigger screen for reading and writing your journal. It's a lighter companion to the iPhone app for now, and one purchase covers iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Lifeweft is Apple-only, with a seven-day free trial followed by a one-time purchase. No subscription. Smarter voice sorting requires an iPhone with Apple Intelligence; otherwise, simpler English-language rules handle the sorting.
I'm not launching a big company or trying to build the next productivity platform. I'm one person who started making something I wanted for myself, and who's reached a point where I'd like to see whether it might be useful to others, too.
If you give Lifeweft a try, I'd genuinely love your feedback ā what you'd want next.
