LidBendy turns the physical motion of your MacBook lid into a live desktop effect. As you close the lid, your actual desktop bends, blurs and shades toward the hinge in real time. It uses the MacBook’s lid-angle sensor and Metal rendering - no prerecorded animation or fake transition. Built as a lightweight native macOS utility.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I’m 19 years old and an indie developer and I built LidBendy because I wanted to make the MacBook lid feel a little more… physical. 😄 LidBendy makes your actual desktop bend, blur and shade as you close your MacBook lid, using the real lid angle and Metal rendering.
