Most apps either drop you into a giant networking event or make you swipe on profiles. Let's app is different: you match on the activity, not faces. Post what you actually want to do (golf, coffee, pickleball, a movie tonight) and people nearby ask to join. You approve who comes, hosts are ID verified, and locations stay approximate until you say yes. Plus a private mode to plan with your own friends in subgroups, so you can ditch the busy group chat. This is the app for forming connections IRL.
How does the matching actually work if I'm posting an activity do people just see my profile or is it more like a feed they scroll through
@nurantrnakcuhu It will be a feed of events, rather than profiles.. Anyone in, or searching in, the location of your posted event (up to 50 mi) will see your event and can request to join. They will see your profile once they tap the event so they know who the host is. You'll get a ping saying someone wants in and will likewise see their profile + a message if they wrote one, and be able to accept/decline their request.
For private events, it works the same, but only the people or group you select from your close friends list will see it on their feed and can request to join.
how does the matching actually work once you post an activity, is it location-based radius or more like interest-based first
@elife1154371 it's location based and interest sorted. You can also search across the entire post to find things you're into
Tried posting a coffee meetup last night and got two nearby people interested within an hour, which surprised me. The activity-first approach just feels way less awkward than swiping on faces.
@elmasfdth that's awesome to hear! I don't know in what world we decided that matching with the face is the ideal way to make a friend 🤷♂️ Here's to a better way!
Finally tried it yesterday and posted a pickleball game. Got two solid replies within an hour and the ID verification thing actually made me feel way safer about meeting strangers. Approving who comes is a nice touch.
Activity-first matching actually makes it way easier to skip the awkward small talk and just show up to play pickleball or grab coffee. Approving who joins is a nice touch too.
