Legacy Keeper brings privacy-first estate planning to your phone. Unlike cloud-based alternatives, your sensitive information stays on your device never on external servers. Create and update a digital will, organize assets, property and investments, and record inheritance or guardianship wishes in one simple app. You stay in full control of your data while preparing your legacy for the people who matter most.
Love the on-device approach, that part honestly sold me. One thing I'd suggest though is adding some kind of shared access option for a trusted family member using a one-time PIN, basically so if something happens to you someone you trust can actually retrieve the info without needing your fingerprint or face to unlock the phone.
@eray3y7c Thank you for your positive feedback and thoughtful suggestion! We’ve designed our system in almost exactly the way you describe without requiring fingerprint or facial recognition.
An executor or trusted representative appointed in advance can report the user as deceased. The user then receives a notification in the Legacy Keeper app. If there is no response within 24 hours, the account enters Safe Mode, preventing any further changes.
The executor can then view the phone’s login details and the Legacy Keeper PIN in their own Legacy Keeper app.
This allows them to access the information only by physically logging into the deceased person’s device.
The on-device storage angle sold me right away, feels like the right approach for something this personal. Wish list creation was straightforward and I liked how the asset sections kept things organized without overwhelming me.

the local-only storage is a really nice touch for something this sensitive, but honestly a built-in legacy contact handoff would take this to the next level. like a way to designate someone who can only unlock the app after a set period of inactivity, with secure verification, so the info actually reaches the right person when it matters
@kayradniz Thanks for your message! That’s exactly how our app works. As a user, you can appoint trusted people to act as your executor or authorized representative and access your information after you pass away.
Once an appointed person reports your death, a secure 24-hour waiting period begins. After that, they receive the device login details and the app’s PIN, allowing them to view the information and download a complete PDF overview.
The fact that everything stays on-device by default is such a thoughtful move for something this sensitive. Estate planning really does not belong on someone else's server, and you clearly thought that through from the ground up.

When I first shared the idea, people quickly asked, “What happens if someone loses their phone?” The honest answer is that the information stored in the app would be lost, because we don’t save anything on a server or in the cloud. You would need to enter everything again on your new phone.
But the fact that even we cannot recover a user’s data is also one of the app’s greatest strengths: your most sensitive information remains completely private and under your control.
As a backup, the app can generate a complete PDF overview that you can print, share with trusted family members, or store securely in a safe.
The local-only storage approach is such a thoughtful choice for something this personal. Glad to see estate planning finally catching up to how people actually feel about their most sensitive information.
