Every launch day on four boards, counted after it closes: field size, what first place cost, what it took to get featured. Subscribe to the whole record, or have us prepare your next launch from it. Free check for launches that already ran.
I build LaunchAmp, and I want to start with the awkward part.
I ran my own launch through my own numbers, and they told me not to launch here. On a typical measured day, 674 products launch on Product Hunt and being featured took 133 upvotes. I have no mailing list. With that reach the honest answer is: this is not your room yet.
But I came here anyway, knowing the number will be modest, because a tool about launches that has never launched on the biggest stage is a tool nobody has any reason to believe.
Here is the thing I could not find anywhere, and the reason this exists: nobody counts launch days. Every list of "Product Hunt alternatives" names the same places with the same adjectives, and not one says how big those places are or what a visible placement costs there. So I started counting, every day, after the day has closed: how big the field was, what the winner scored, what each placement down the ranking cost. 89 days on file, one more every day.
Two things come out of that.
If you have not launched yet, we write the launch for you from those numbers — which board it belongs on given the reach you actually have, which date, the tagline, the topics, your first comment, and an honest estimate. Sometimes the honest answer is "wait until you have a list". That answer gets sent, because a service that always says "looks good" is worthless in exactly the community its customers live in.
If you would rather do the thinking yourself, you can subscribe to the whole record instead: every measured day, weekday and category breakdowns, the board comparison for any vote count, CSV export. Cancel in one click, no sign-in needed.
And if you already launched, this is free and needs no account — it puts any launch against the full field of the day it ran in: https://launchamp.eu/launch-check Most people find their launch did better than they thought.
One thing we do not do: promise upvotes, rankings or traffic. None of these boards publishes visitor figures, so every traffic number in this space is an estimate being called data. We measure what a placement cost. What it brought in is measured by your own analytics, and we say so on the pricing page.
Happy to answer anything, including how the measuring works and which board turned out to be impossible to measure honestly.
