Lasanha Garage started as a small personal project.
I'm a car enthusiast, and I wanted a car quiz game that I would actually enjoy playing — not just endless questions about random specs.
I also had basically no previous Android development experience.
So I started building it while learning along the way, using Codex heavily as a development partner to help me implement features, debug problems, refactor the project, and eventually turn the idea into a real production app.
What started as a simple quiz gradually became much bigger:
🏁 Car quizzes and daily challenges
⚔️ Asynchronous player-vs-player duels
🚗 A garage for your own car
🏆 Achievements and progression
🃏 A growing collection of unlockable cars
💰 Credits earned by playing
🌎 Portuguese and English support
One of the ideas I care about most is making everything feel connected: you play quizzes and challenges, discover cars, earn Credits, unlock them, and gradually build your garage.
Lasanha Garage has just gone into production on Android, so this is still very much the beginning.
I'd especially love feedback on the game loop, onboarding, UI/UX, progression, daily challenges, duels, or anything you think I should improve next.
And if anyone is curious about the development side, I'm also happy to talk about what it was like building and shipping my first Android app with Codex.
