Land Now – Emergency Airport Finder: Find the best nearby airport when you need to land now

Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I’m a working general aviation pilot, and Land Now grew out of a question I’ve thought about many times while flying: If something changes and I decide I need to get on the ground, what’s my best option right now? A recurring theme in aviation accidents is a pilot continuing as weather deteriorates, delaying a diversion until the available options have become much worse. Mechanical problems and other unexpected situations can create the same problem while dramatically increasing cockpit workload. Most aviation tools are incredibly capable, but they’re designed to let the pilot explore information and make decisions. I wanted to build something much narrower. Land Now does one job. Press LAND NOW, and it evaluates nearby airports and ranks the available landing options using factors such as distance, current aviation weather, runway characteristics, and landing suitability. It also gives you a heading toward each option. The goal isn’t to replace ForeFlight, Garmin Pilot, weather briefings, navigation equipment, or pilot judgment. I use aviation tools myself and wanted Land Now to complement them. The design philosophy became: less interaction when you need it most. I’ve deliberately resisted turning it into another map-heavy EFB. If you’re dealing with deteriorating weather or another high-workload situation, I want the app to help answer one question quickly: Where should I land right now?
