@joannejrr Actually is next week :) I'll run through v2.0 and compare to things we wish we could have done differently beforehand, etc. Fiance took control of most of the planning as I'm absolutely terrible in that area -- she utilized The Knot.
Wedding planning (and beyond) is def a chore, but a happy chore :) Hope LadyMarry can go a long way to help. I've see a couple of wedding related services including planning before. What do you think as the maker that sets LM apart? Congrats again!
@ma_xiaoxu If you browse around the existing wedding planning apps, you'll easily find they all provide endless glamorous contents for inspirations - the more the better. While for LadyMarry, she only focuses on the efficiency part - how to get things done. "She" won't provide endless inspirations, but aims to save couples' time, $$ and stress at the best.
Congrats! I've been closely watching the app adding more functions over the past year. Wedding planning is always a mayhem and this little app made me feel a lot more useful when trying to recommend to friends with big wedding coming up.
@bwang29 Thanks for your great feedback all along the way! All is inspirational! Hope LadyMarry can be more powerful and responsive soon to encourage everyone re-value the wedding planning process. Look forward to your fresh thoughts.
Interesting idea and glad to see the new updates in V2.0! Just curious, why do you choose this niche market? And what's the next step for LadyMarry after launching V2.0?
@elaineluyi Great questions. Wedding is a niche for sure. Since we are all very family-oriented, when several of us planned our own weddings, we noticed how strong of the need to get things done, and encourage more friends to re-value the wedding and marriage. For the next steps, will definitely focus on the engagement, esp the collaboration part. Let me know if you have any ideas.
Awesome idea. I remember the days when I used to plan my wedding, and it was a disaster, too many things to be done, too many things to be remembered.
I believe LadyMarry can save time and the most important some nerves.
Do you guys consider involving some event planning agencies and some wedding service suppliers right into the app to make communication between user and agency easier and faster? It could be a killer feature.
Good luck! Great job!
Haaaaaappy Valentine’s Day, hunters !!
I'm one of the co-founders of LadyMarry. 1 year before, we launched our 1.0 web version @PH. And now we’re glad to introduce our Android and iOS virtual wedding planner to all friends here!
If you don’t know/use LadyMarry - “ She" is a virtual wedding planner that helps engaged couples schedule to-dos, recommend vendors, and coordinate all details without an expensive real wedding planner. And more importantly, “she” encourages the groom and other family members/friends to help out the planning together to learn how to work with each other even before marriage.
Over the last year, we’ve collected huge amounts of feedback, suggestions, complaints, rants and even some praise from PH (XOXO!).
What’s new? (in a nutshell)
1) Automatically customize a monthly checklist
2) Collaborate with others about the same wedding
3) Find vendors with availability and pricing
4) Cross-platform, including iOS, Android, Web
We're pretty proud of it. All that is left is to hope that you and our community would love it and be the lifehackers too! Enjoy~
P.S. Congratulations to our team members who recently got engaged and married!!
