Hey Product Hunt 👋 Kwilio started with a question I heard on repeat: "am I working tomorrow?" Small shift-based teams — cafés, care homes, retail, cleaning crews, security, mostly still run their rosters out of a group chat, a spreadsheet, or a sheet of paper on the back office wall. The manager rebuilds the same schedule every Sunday. Staff find out about a change when someone happens to mention it. Shifts get missed, and nobody's really at fault. The big workforce platforms solve this, but they price per user per month and bolt on payroll, hiring and onboarding modules that a 12-person team will never open. So people opt out and go back to the spreadsheet. Kwilio is the scheduling part, done properly, at a price a small team doesn't have to think about. For managers (desktop app, Mac and Windows): - Build the week and publish it — everyone's notified instantly - Recurring shifts that genuinely recur, with proper "just this one / this and all future / the whole series" edits - Publish open shifts and let staff claim them - Approve time off and swaps, see availability before you roster - On macOS, paste a shift in plain English and it fills the form — that happens on your machine, nothing sent anywhere (Apple Intelligence) For staff (iPhone app): - Your week on a timeline with a live "now" marker - Clock in and out, with a running timer on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island - Clock-in works with no signal, events queue and sync when you're back. Optional on-site location check where the employer enables it - Claim open shifts, request swaps and time off, set your availability - Notifications for new shifts, changes, cancellations and start reminders A few honest notes - The staff app is iPhone only right now. Android is the next thing I build, and how many of you ask for it decides how fast. - Pricing is flat monthly by team size: $49.99 up to 200 staff, $99.99 up to 2,500, $299.99 unlimited. No per-seat billing. - Times always display in the workplace's timezone, which sounds boring until you've had someone show up an hour late. I'll be here all day. If you run a shift team, the most useful thing you can tell me isn't what you like, it's the one thing about how you schedule that this clearly wouldn't handle. That's what I want to fix next.
