If your iOS app ships with a third-party API key embedded in the binary, it's extractable. KVProxy moves your API keys behind a managed proxy layer with a single line of code. Your keys stay server-side, while you get per-device rate limiting, instant key revocation, and device verification — without building or running your own backend.

We built KVProxy after repeatedly running into the same frustrating tradeoff: mobile apps should never ship third-party API keys, but standing up and maintaining our own backend proxy just to hide a few keys is overkill.
We designed KVProxy with two main goals: simple integration, and to support the most third-party APIs possible. We integrate with a single line of code, and our proxy configuration allows us to support nearly any third-party library with zero code changes (including any popular AI SDK). You don't need any custom URLs or SDKs to make KVProxy work.
We’d love feedback on:
• Does this solve a real pain point for you?
• How are you currently protecting API keys in mobile apps?
• What would make this a no-brainer to adopt?
Happy to answer anything. Architecture, pricing, roadmap, etc!
