Klappa is a free spaced repetition app for students with exams where forgetting is expensive. It opens your Anki decks with each card's schedule, reviews them on FSRS-6, and studies four ways: Flashcards, Learn, Write and Test. Included free: Cortex, a study AI that cites a curated medical library; Live, in-class quizzes students join from their phones; and an MCP connector for Claude and ChatGPT. Web and Mac (offline). No ads, no paid tier.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Fahim, a dental student.
I built Klappa because I hated how Anki looked and worked, and Quizlet felt too basic and underpowered, even though I liked its interface. So I combined the best of both: Anki-grade spaced repetition in an interface I actually want to open every day, with AI built in to save me time.
What it does:
• Opens your Anki decks with every card's schedule intact, and exports them back to Anki
• Schedules reviews with FSRS-6, plus my own model (FMSR-1) that brings a missed card back in the same session
• Studies a deck four ways: flashcards, multiple choice, typed answers and a graded test
• Connects Claude or ChatGPT to your decks, so your AI can turn a lecture into cards and put them straight into Klappa. Less time making cards, more time studying them
• Cortex: a study AI that answers from a curated medical library and shows its sources
• Live: in-class questions on a projector, answered from every phone with no account needed
It's free, with no paid tier and no ads, on the web and as a Mac app that works offline. The iPhone app is with Apple for review.
I'd love feedback on two things: how the Anki import handles your biggest deck, and whether the AI card workflow saves you time.
