Hold a key, speak, and let go. Kivo inserts clean text at your cursor in any Mac app, from email to your AI agent’s prompt box. It removes fillers and resolves corrections. Audio stays on your Mac. Free, with no account. Preview: English only and unsigned.

Hi I'm Gokulakrishnan, and I build Kivo on my own.
Hold Option, speak, and let go. Your words appear at the cursor in any app on your Mac. Try it on your next long prompt to an AI agent.
It runs on your Mac, so your audio is never uploaded. It is free, with no account.
It is an early preview: English and Mac only, and slower than my target. It is not signed yet, so you allow the first launch in Privacy & Security, and it needs a one time 460 MB model download.
Which apps or words does it get wrong?
I would value your feedback ❤️
Free, on-device, and no account is a strong combination — dictation is the kind of thing I only trust if the audio never leaves the machine. The part I'd actually use daily is dropping clean text straight into an agent's prompt box, since that's where my messy voice notes usually end up. Curious how it handles code identifiers and proper nouns in that mode — and whether the per-app writing mode request ends up automatic, since I'd want verbatim in a terminal and cleaned-up everywhere else.
Dropping clean text straight into an agent's prompt box is the detail I did not expect to matter, because dictating into a chat window that autocorrects my words has been its own small misery.
@karimbenkeroum Absolutely! That’s exactly the experience we’re trying to improve with Kivo. Voice input should feel as natural as typing, without fighting autocorrect or losing your intended words. Thanks for sharing this perspective!
