We're the team at Speranda, and we just shipped Keep Awake 2.0.
Keep Awake is the tiny menu bar app that stops your Mac from sleeping, a no-fuss replacement for caffeinate. The big addition in 2.0 is for anyone working with AI coding agents: your agent can now keep the Mac awake while it runs a long task, then let it sleep again when it is done. No more coming back to a sleeping Mac and a half-finished build.
It works through a built-in MCP server. You open the redesigned Settings window, pick your tool (Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, Antigravity, Codex, or any MCP client), and copy the one step shown for it.
You stay in control the whole time:
ā¢ Turn AI agent access off any time to stop every agent at once
ā¢ Your own on and off always takes priority over any agent
ā¢ Several agents can keep it awake together, and an agent that stops or crashes can never keep your Mac awake forever
Still tiny and native (Swift/AppKit), on macOS 13 and later (Apple silicon), and it updates itself.
