Keel is a free, open-source Mac app for Redis 6+, Valkey and Dragonfly. Browse millions of keys with SCAN only, edit every core type, use a redis-cli-style console and read server health. Read-only connections and typed confirmations keep production safe.

Hey Product Hunt 👋
Keel is the Redis client I wanted for my own work.
Most Redis GUIs are either Electron apps that slow down on big databases or tools I don't fully trust on
production. So Keel is built around three ideas:
*It stays fast on huge databases. The browser only uses SCAN, never `KEYS`, so it won't block your server. On
an M1 Pro it loads a million keys in under two seconds and filters them in milliseconds. Values load in pages,
so a 1M-field hash or a 64 MB string opens instantly.
It's safe on production. Mark a connection read-only and every write, script and admin command is blocked
before anything reaches the socket, in the editors and the console alike. Bulk delete, `FLUSHDB` and multi-key
delete need a typed confirmation, and production tabs get a maroon strip so you always know where you are.
It respects your data. Keys and values are bytes end to end, so binary data round-trips exactly. No
telemetry, nothing logged, passwords only in the Keychain.
It also has editors for every core type (strings, hashes, lists, sets, sorted sets, streams), a redis-cli-style
console with completion, an INFO dashboard, SSH tunnels through your own `~/.ssh/config`, TLS with client
certificates and a ⌘K command palette.
It works with Redis 6.0+, Valkey 7.2–9.x (first-class) and Dragonfly. It's free and MIT-licensed, and the DMG is
signed and notarized.
I'd love to know what you use for Redis today and what would make you switch. Cluster support is next on the
list, so tell me if that's the one you're waiting for.
