Other AI fitness apps hand you a rigid workout plan that breaks the first busy week. Kaptain is different: it organizes your training around your real life. It reads your calendar and Apple Health, spots scheduling conflicts, and moves sessions to when you'll train, so your adaptive routine reshapes itself week after week. Then your AI coach acts on it by chat: reschedule a session, plan your week, log a workout, or track your weight and hydration. The right workout, at the right moment.
Hey Product Hunters 👋
I'm Fred, the maker of Kaptain.
Two things about me: I only stay motivated when I have a well-defined routine, and I'm the kind of person who builds a custom tool for anything I want to organize in my life. So when I set myself a triathlon goal, the problem got real fast. Fitting three sports into a week where I also work full-time was a puzzle I kept losing. Swim, bike and run, all fighting for space with meetings, and a plan that never survived contact with a busy Wednesday.
So I built Kaptain around one idea: your coach should adapt to your week, not the other way around. It reads your calendar and Apple Health, notices when a session no longer fits, and moves it to when you'll actually train. And instead of burying that in menus, you just talk to it. "Move my run to tomorrow morning," "I'm wiped, make today lighter," and it acts on it.
The hard part wasn't the AI. It was the organization underneath: keeping the schedule alive without being annoying, and building an assistant that does things on your plan instead of just handing back advice. That took a lot of rewrites.
It's iOS-only and still early, the coach is in beta and still gets things wrong sometimes. I'd genuinely love your feedback: what makes you abandon a training plan, and what would make you stick with one?
Thanks for checking it out 🙏
