Hey Product Hunt! 👋 What inspired it: I used to write every deadline down and then never look at it again. My deadlines lived in apps I never opened, so every one of them felt like a surprise. The problem I wanted to solve: keep the time left in front of me without having to go and check. So Kairo puts a countdown right on your Windows desktop. How it evolved: it started as a single card on my desktop. Then I wanted to see it while working, so I added a small floating overlay that sits above any app and steps aside when you're on the empty desktop. After that came reminders (1 hour, 30 min and 5 min before), eight card styles (yes, one has a sleepy cat 🐱), and a lot of small polish. A few things I cared about: • No account, no cloud, no tracking.
