Hi Hunters & Makers 👋 I'm Mark, maker of justIM. Tbh I was just tired of ads, magical algorithmic feeds, and neglected privacy on most platforms, big time. Raise your hands if you feel me 🙋 How about a new social platform where you are not bothered with the usual shenanigans and you can share and chat with friends freely? Here comes justIM: 🔒 Messages are end-to-end encrypted. ⏲ Messages are automatically deleted after being sent in 24hours. 🕵️ Share moments publicly or privately, you can decide per moment. 📉 Moments are chronologically ordered. 👀 Moment view count and reactions are only visible to you, so no pressure. 🤝 Conversations are limited to 10 participants, to create more meaningful convos. 🏆 Everyone has a badge - showing who invited them or where they came from, to provide you a context of the person and add some social proof before you add someone to your friends' list 🔛 New chats can be initiated with friends only, to evade unwanted messages and to create a space where friends can introduce friends to each other in a conversation. 🔗 We don't track the links you open from your conversations. ✉️ You can invite friends anytime, without uploading your whole contact list, but with a catch - inviters are responsible for their invitees. 🙅 No ads, ever. Hope you gonna find justIM useful and most importantly meaningful for you. 😻 Product Hunters can get in without an invitation by logging in with Product Hunt, or by using the promo code 😽 Messages are designed to keep your convos private and keep it manageable with your close friends. Moments are designed to reduce the pressure from the feeling of “perfect posting”, the views and reactions from others are intentionally hidden from anyone but you, to reduce pressure and comparing yourself to others. There is no editing, just take a photo, crop, upload - that’s it, so it’s more about really sharing your moments "as is" rather than about “creating content” for others. The moments list view is only showing moments from who you added, no recommendations, so this way you are not bothered with eye-catching content just to keep you in the loop to grab your attention and to drive engagement, etc., this is not what justIM is about, it’s about you and your buddies and your own digital well-being. The creation of the app was partly ignited by Chamath Palihapitiya’s notorious Stanford talk and the mechanisms behind the app's workings is influenced by some of the guidelines of The Center of Humane Technology

Hello Everyone! We are using justIM for almost half a year across friends. (starting from the beta) It embodies all the necessary features we all love and much more! There are two main aspects for me why I think justIM is better and completely different from others. First, finally, we have a human-friendly app that won’t sell all of our data. Second, I am an Apple user. I appreciate great UI/UX design. This app gets A++ from me in this category as well.

@leves90 Thank you for your efforts and your great work. Really JustIM is the future. I think the existence of features similar to Snapchat will attract all people, and we exclude some of the features that affect privacy such as location, advertisements and data sales.

Of course, in time there will be features, like ID verification, which will be a paid feature, but everything else remains free to give people the opportunity to use the service anytime.

I suggest making the beginning of opening the application and the camera interface to capture and share moments, this is a more easy and smooth way for the user

Honestly, I didn't like the idea of the invitation and the person who knows where she came from. I wanted to replace it with JustIm code feature like Snapchat, and it can be scanned by long pressing the camera and also the possibility of sharing the code with friends. I suggest moving the invitation of friends to the friends field to make the chats page pure.
