A couple of years ago I was deep in a job hunt. Exploring visa options, applying abroad, hunting for remote roles, refreshing ten job boards a day. One of the most stressful and uncertain times of my life.
The worst part wasn't the rejections. It was the time spent reading through job posts just to find the ones that fit my situation.
Open a job post. Scroll to the bottom. Find out they don't sponsor, or that "remote" means US only. Close tab. Next one. Two hours gone, zero applications sent.
I eventually landed a globally remote role and lived the nomad life I'd wanted. But I never got over how much of that time went to a question a computer should have answered for me in one second: is this even worth applying to?
