Curate up to five papers on a spinning bookstand, the way Jefferson kept five books open at Monticello. Post your stand, stamp the ones you treasure, and leave letters for their curators.

Curious how the spinning stand actually works in practice — is it a physical object you buy or just a virtual layout for showcasing links? Also wondering if the "letters to curators" piece has any moderation or if it's totally open.
@nesrin318706 You can purchase a physical bookstand from the Monticello website: https://monticelloshop.org/products/monticello-revolving-bookstand
This app is a (free) digital version of it.
The moderation is currently “human in the loop.”
The Monticello reference is such a nice touch — it makes the whole thing feel less like an app and more like a tiny cabinet of curiosities. Five is also the perfect cap; anything more would feel chaotic, anything less would feel stingy.
@vedat02op I appreciate the feedback! Monticello has always inspired me in person, and you can never get the same thing digitally, but this app in particular is meant to model that bringing a splash of the rich human experiences to the digital world can make for richer digital experiences.
The little Monticello nod in the five-paper spin is such a clever hook, makes the whole thing feel less like an app and more like a tiny cabinet of curiosities on your desk.
@baskapanad54699 thanks for the feedback! That was the hope. How can we make our digital spaces feel more physical even if both digital and physical are important?
