Overnight I went from never seeing a scam to getting hit with them every single day. Being the tech-savvy guy, I always drilled my family on one rule: if an email, text, or call feels off, check with me before you do anything. It worked. Until last week. My mom called me, a bit embarrassed, to say she'd paid a fake invoice. It came from a real company she actually uses, went straight past her spam filter, and one "Pay with iDEAL" link took €159,38 in under a minute. The only giveaway was the sender's domain which was masked by her email client and just displayed the companies name instead. Then a local model that doesn't train on or keep your data scrubs anything sensitive that's left over, before any of it ever reaches a more capable AI for the actual analysis.
