Free, open source (MIT) tool to audit your own smart home devices. Run sudo iotaudit auto: it finds the devices on your network and shows who each one talks to, whether traffic is encrypted, open ports, UPnP port forwards and idle uploads, then grades each device A to F in a local HTML or PDF report. No account, no telemetry, everything stays local.

Hi Product Hunt! I bought a cheap Wi-Fi pet feeder with a camera and wanted to know what it actually does on my network. It turned out to have telnet open and to hardcode its own DNS.
