Project started with building a GPT model first. In chat, everything works. However, the greatest strength of the project idea is a combination of structured curriculum and Voice Mode in GPT. With any AI, you can build today a Duolingo-like app (it will not likely teach you a language at all, but whatever, it's theirs problem, not ours). You can create AI prompt that would chat with you for a few minutes and that would improve your language competency, if you already have one (likely you were taught by some tutor). But to make GPT model to follow the textbook that one has in front them while being in Voice Mode, that's a completely different challenge. Requires lot of testing because Voice Mode is built to drift from the script. However, the Voice Mode in Open AI API is the best in changing the accents and in this way fits the best FSI curriculums.
