Congratulations on the launch of Claude 4! 🎉 The "extended thinking with tool use" feature sounds like a game-changer for tackling complex tasks. It's exciting to see innovations that enhance precision and flexibility. Can't wait to integrate this into my workflow! 👏🚀

Anthropic’s Claude 4 models—Opus 4 and Sonnet 4—mark a major leap in AI capability, particularly in coding, reasoning, and autonomous agent performance. As a reviewer, I was impressed by their extended context understanding, more reliable tool use, and noticeably improved memory retention over previous versions.

Opus 4 stands out for high-complexity tasks and nuanced problem-solving, while Sonnet 4 delivers excellent performance with speed and efficiency—ideal for real-time applications. Together, they raise the bar for what AI models can achieve in both productivity and autonomy.

A strong step forward for developers and teams building next-gen tools and assistants.

I've been a die hard fan from the first beta until 3.5 - but now if you aren't a coder and just a normal end-user, Claude has fallen behind. The context window of 200k is not enough for my own book and a few other background documents to do great writing. It's a shame, but I have to use GPT 4.1 simply because of their 1000k context window. Claude is focusing solely on coders as main audience, which is not only a letdown but missing the other 98% of people. This decision is a huge fail.

Claude 4 is here!! Anthropic's next generation of models, including the powerful Claude Opus 4 and an upgraded Claude Sonnet 4, has arrived. They're aiming high with this release, especially for coding, advanced reasoning, and building more capable AI agents.

A key new feature for both is "extended thinking with tool use." This allows them to use tools like web search while working on complex problems, which is a big step for more capable agent-like tasks. They've also got improved memory and follow instructions more precisely.

Alongside the new models, Claude Code is now generally available. It brings Claude's help right into your dev workflow with VS Code, JetBrains, and GitHub integrations. You can try Sonnet 4 for free, with Opus 4 on paid plans and various APIs.

Claude 4 is a major leap forward.

Anthropic’s Opus and Sonnet models aren’t just faster or smarter — they think better. Extended reasoning, accurate code generation, powerful agent capabilities, and the memory improvements are immediately noticeable.

What stands out:

-- Deep reasoning: Truly impressive on complex, multi-step tasks.

-- Tool use: Seamless integration with APIs, functions, and agents.

-- Improved memory: Feels more coherent and contextual over time.

-- Fast + affordable (Sonnet 4): A strong middle ground between cost and power.

Whether you’re building with AI, exploring agents, or just want a model that understands more deeply — Claude 4 sets a new bar.

Massive kudos to the Anthropic team. This is a turning point for what thoughtful, safe, and capable AI can look like.
