Hi Product Hunt, I'm Sumit, a lead product designer at Whatfix, in India. I've always been fascinated by minimal illustration styles and abstract shapes. Every newsletter, slide and empty state I designed needed a small picture, and the pictures never matched each other. So I built Inkword: type one word, and it draws a small editorial illustration that inks itself on screen, stroke by stroke. Inkword's own renderer does the brushwork and the animation. The hardest part was the tuning. I ran more than 1,000 blind tests, choosing between two drawings without knowing which prompt made them, and changed models, instructions and everything else along the way.
