img2threejs.org is a hosted image-to-3D service based on the open-source img2threejs project by Hoai-Nho Nguyen (Apache-2.0). Upload a reference image to get a textured GLB (Native Mesh) or editable procedural Three.js TypeScript with a JSON spec (Editable Draft), preview it live in WebGL, and download it for your website.

img2threejs.org is a hosted service built on top of the open-source img2threejs project by Hoai-Nho Nguyen (github.com/img2threejs/img2threejs, Apache-2.0). It was not created by us, and full credit for the original project goes to its author.
Our goal is to make that idea usable without setting up a coding agent: upload a reference image in the browser, preview the result in WebGL, and download it. The site has two modes:
• Native Mesh: our own pipeline that produces a textured GLB model.
• Editable Draft: procedural Three.js TypeScript plus a JSON spec. It is adapted from the open-source project's method and includes modified ports of parts of its code, with its licence and copyright kept.
We'd love feedback on the references and workflows you'd like us to support next.
@jeremy_xiao As the original creator of img2threejs, I need to clarify that the wording “We built img2threejs” is inaccurate and misrepresents the authorship of the project.
You are welcome to use img2threejs under the Apache 2.0 license, including for commercial purposes, but please properly credit the original project and do not present your product or team as the creator of img2threejs.

@hoai_nho_nguyen Hi Hoài Nhớ, you're right, and I'm sorry for the "We built img2threejs" wording. img2threejs.org is a separate hosted service, not your project. Our main generator (Native Mesh) is our own pipeline. Our Editable Draft mode started from your img2threejs project and includes modified TypeScript ports of parts of its code. We use that code under Apache-2.0 and keep your copyright notice. We've added your copyright and licence notices to the code, corrected our site to say this clearly, and linked to github.com/img2threejs/img2threejs. I'm also updating this listing's wording. Thank you for building it.
