Free, privacy-first image tools that run in your browser: compress to a target size (e.g. under 200 KB), convert JPG/PNG/WebP/AVIF/HEIC, AI-upscale, merge and shrink PDFs. No uploads, no sign-up, and a live counter shows what leaves your device.

Hi Product Hunt! I built Image Toolbox because every "free" image tool I tried wanted me to upload my photos to some server first.
Image Toolbox does the work entirely in your browser:
• Compress & convert (JPG/PNG/WebP/AVIF, plus iPhone HEIC input), up to 10 images at once with per-file or ZIP download
• "Fit a target size": type "200 KB" and it finds the best quality under that limit
• Presets for common jobs (ID photo, Instagram, YouTube thumbnail, email) that crop to fit
• PNG color reduction, and MozJPEG for smaller JPGs
• AI upscaling up to 4x, running locally in your browser
• PDF tools: merge PDFs, shrink scanned PDFs, images → PDF, PDF → images (page range + ZIP), PDF → Word/PPT/Excel
No uploads, no sign-up, no install. Each tool page shows a live counter of how many times it sent image data to a server (0 for me), and it keeps working offline after the first visit.
Honest limits: upscaling uses a small model and works on images up to 1000px per side; shrinking a PDF turns pages into images (no text selection afterwards) and can make text-only PDFs bigger; PDF → Word/Excel extracts text only (no OCR, tables aren't rebuilt); AVIF encoding is slower; and my size comparisons so far come from synthetic test images, so real-world results will vary.
I'd love feedback, especially on which tool or format you'd want next!
