Hi everyone!
I'm an ESL lecturer who has spent the past few years reading and giving feedback on hundreds of IELTS Writing essays. While AI tools can generate impressive responses, I often found their feedback either too generic, too conversational, or difficult for learners to turn into concrete revisions.
That motivated me to build IELTS Writing Review.
The goal isn't to replace teachers or IELTS examiners. Instead, it's to provide a focused writing workspace where learners can:
• practice under exam conditions or in a flexible practice mode,
• receive clear criterion-based feedback,
• review a concise improvement plan, and
• download a clean report for later revision.
For learners who want to dive deeper into their feedback, I've also linked my companion GPT, IELTS Writing Checkmate, where they can ask follow-up questions and have a two-way conversation about their essays.
This is my first attempt at turning a teaching workflow into a real product, so I'd genuinely appreciate any feedback, feature suggestions, or bug reports.
Thanks for checking it out!

Genuinely helpful for breaking down task prompts into smaller steps. The feedback on coherence felt specific rather than generic, which is rare for these tools.

@farukvbr9 Thank you! I'm really glad you found the feedback useful. Making the feedback specific and actionable, rather than generic, has been one of the main goals of this project. Was there anything you felt could be improved?
